Persian Dance, Behnaz Torabi

Sept 30, Friday at 6:30 pm

Behnaz Torabi was one of the first synchronized swimmers who performed artistic swimming, combining elements of gymnastics and ballet in the water, coordinating with music, in Iran. One of her best performances was at Second Iranian National Championship in Shahrude, Iran, in 2007 in which she obtained a silver medal performing in a team of 8.

Since she was a little girl, she has been interested in dance and performances. The way she embraces dancing is to dance like nobody’s watching; in another world, she dances to connect to herself, her passion, and her desire to move to the places that words could never express.
